Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the MacroIt mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using MacroIt, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. About MacroIt
MacroIt is a nutrition tracking and food analysis application that helps users:
- Scan food labels and barcodes for nutritional information
- Log meals and track daily calorie and macronutrient intake
- Receive AI-generated health scores and nutritional insights
- Generate personalised recipes based on dietary profiles
- Create shopping lists from recipes
MacroIt is developed by Bhavish Berry (Individual Developer), based in India.
2. Medical & Health Disclaimer
MacroIt is NOT a medical application and does NOT provide medical advice.
- The nutritional information, health scores, allergen alerts, and recipe suggestions provided by MacroIt are generated using artificial intelligence and publicly available food databases. They are estimates and may contain inaccuracies.
- MacroIt is designed for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary decisions, especially if you have medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, food allergies, celiac disease, or any other health condition.
- Do not disregard, avoid, or delay obtaining medical advice because of information provided by MacroIt.
- If you experience a medical emergency or adverse reaction to food, contact emergency services immediately — do not rely on this App.
- MacroIt does not guarantee the accuracy of barcode lookups, ingredient lists, or AI-generated nutritional analyses. Product formulations may change without notice, and database entries may be incomplete or outdated.
MacroIt is not a medical device and is not regulated as a medical product under any jurisdiction.
By using MacroIt, you acknowledge and accept that nutritional data and AI-generated content are provided "as is" and you use them at your own risk.
3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
MacroIt uses third-party AI services (Google Gemini, Perplexity AI) to provide:
- Food label analysis and nutritional breakdowns
- Meal parsing and calorie estimation
- Personalised recipe generation
- Premium health insights
Important:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inconsistencies, or hallucinations
- Recipes are generated based on general nutritional principles and may not account for all individual health needs, medication interactions, or specific allergies not listed in your profile
- Nutrition estimates from AI scanning should be verified against product packaging where possible
- We do not guarantee the suitability of any AI-generated recipe for your specific health conditions
4. Account Terms
4.1 Registration
- You may use MacroIt as a guest (limited features) or create an account using email/password or Google Sign-In
- You must be at least 18 years old in India (as required by the DPDP Act). For users outside India, you must be at least 13 years old
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration
4.2 Account Security
- You are responsible for all activity on your account
- Notify us immediately at berrybhavish086@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
4.3 Account Deletion
- You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Data → Delete Account
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
- Upon deletion, all your personal data is removed from our systems

5. Subscription & Payment Terms
5.1 Free and Premium Tiers
MacroIt offers:
- Free Tier: Basic food scanning, meal logging, nutrition tracking, limited recipe access
- MacroIt Pro (Premium): Advanced AI insights, unlimited recipe generation, priority scanning, premium features
5.2 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
- We do not directly collect, store, or process any payment or financial information
- Subscription prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region
5.3 Subscription Management
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then
5.4 Refunds
- Refund policies are governed by Apple and Google respectively
- We do not process refunds directly; please contact Apple App Store Support or Google Play Support for refund requests
- We are not responsible for charges incurred due to failure to cancel before a renewal date
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or servers
- Circumvent rate limits, security features, or access controls
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free-tier limits
- Upload malicious content, harmful code, or exploit vulnerabilities
- Use the App to provide medical advice to others or represent AI outputs as professional medical opinions
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Property
- The MacroIt name, logo, design, user interface, code, and documentation are owned by Bhavish Berry and are protected by intellectual property laws
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written consent
7.2 User Content
- You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (meal logs, shopping lists, profile data)
- By using the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the service
- This licence terminates when you delete your account
7.3 AI-Generated Content
- Recipes and insights generated by AI within the App are provided for your personal use
- We do not claim exclusive ownership of AI-generated recipes, nor do we guarantee their originality
- You may use AI-generated recipes for personal, non-commercial purposes
7.4 Third-Party Content
- Product data from OpenFoodFacts is used under the Open Database License (ODbL)
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party product databases
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- MacroIt is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
- We are not liable for any health consequences, allergic reactions, medical complications, or adverse effects resulting from dietary decisions made based on information provided by the App
- We are not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated nutritional data, recipes, health scores, or allergen detection
- In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you for MacroIt Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bhavish Berry (the developer of MacroIt) from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your provision of inaccurate health or dietary information
- Any claim that your use of the App infringed on the rights of a third party
10. Third-Party Services
MacroIt integrates with third-party services that have their own terms of service:

We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.
11. Service Availability
- We strive to maintain 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- We may temporarily suspend the App for maintenance, updates, or security reasons
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time
- We will endeavour to notify users of significant changes in advance
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.2 Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation
- If negotiation fails, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in India
- The language of arbitration shall be English
- The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding
12.3 Consumer Protection
Nothing in these Terms shall limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) or equivalent consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
13. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time
- Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email
- The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes
- Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
- If you disagree with any changes, please stop using the App and delete your account
